Personal Profile

Living in a food paradise, I am interested in visiting different restaurants and tasting different types of cuisine. However, eating out makes it more difficult to balance my nutritional intake. In order to learn more about the relationship between food and health, I decided to study food and nutritional sciences. I wish to enhance my knowledge in this field and apply it in reality to influence others in the community.


In the courses of food and nutritional sciences, I learnt the nutritional needs of people in different ages, the mechanism and pathways of nutrients in human body, the composition of food and so on. I understand that healthy diets and healthy lifestyle play an important role in controlling weight and preventing chronic diseases. Modern people have a busy schedule that they often need to socialize and do not have time to select healthy food, which may lead to various health consequences. I wish to accompany and assist them to build a healthy lifestyle and find the way to choose suitable food.


As an undergraduate of food and nutritional sciences, I wish to help improve the public health from the nutrition perspective, promote the importance of healthy diets, and offer practical nutrition knowledge. I also wish to offer favourable strategies focusing on people’s individual needs.
